Cannon & Cornwall Street – Temporary Site Hoardings

As part of the ongoing construction work of the Cannon and Cornwall Street development of 96 homes (2004 to 2006) – within which I was responsible for delivering the in-depth community engagement – I engaged a local graffiti artist to work with young people who were in temporary housing, awaiting their new homes on the site. After a series of fun-filled fact-finding workshops, the artist worked with the young residents to complete a series of vibrant, temporary hoarding panels around the construction site, which told the story of being placed in temporary accommodation; the demolition of their previous homes; the beautiful setting in which they lived and: their bright hopes and aspirations for the future.
